We returned the lost sights
We returned the lost monuments to the cultural map of Transcarpathia and Ukraine in general. The archive is based on a study by Mykhailo Syrokhman in 1978–2021, which included field explorations and work in the archives and museum collections of Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.
156 lost objects of church architecture
The database “Lost Churches of Transcarpathia” contains information about 156 objects of sacred architecture of the region, lost during the XX and XXI centuries – 101 wooden churches, 29 wooden bell towers and 26 brick temples. For each of these attractions, there is a description, image and link to the online map.
